Mark Hertel is a founding partner of Paramount Law Firm, LLP, based in Pasadena, California, USA. Mr. Hertel is a graduate of Columbia Law School, and is licensed to practice law in New York and Virginia.
Since 2013, his practice has focused exclusively on immigration and nationality law. He has successfully represented many foreign medical graduates pursuing careers in the United States, who require legal assistance to obtain waivers from home-residency requirements attached to certain exchange program visas. He has obtained such waivers on the basis of hardship to the U.S.-citizen children of the foreign national, fear of persecution in the home country, and voluntary commitment to work in medically underserved areas of the United States.
He has successfully obtained waivers of the labor certification requirements for physicians and researches of outstanding ability, on the basis of such waivers being in the national interest of the United States. Wendy Mo, Esq. - Attorney
Ms. Mo is licensed to practice law by the state of New York. Her practice focuses exclusively on immigration law. Ms. Mo has ten years of professional experience in the field of immigration and has assisted numerous clients to obtain their green cards through a wide range of visa categories.
Ms. Mo is particularly experienced in employment-based and investment based immigration. She has extensive experience in handling EB1, EB2, EB3 and EB5 immigrant visa petitions, as well as visa petitions for non-immigrant workers such as H1B, L1, E1/E2, etc. Ms. Mo also has extensive experience in deportation defense, and
in challenging other adverse official immigration decisions. She often assists clients by filing Motions to Reopen, Requests for Reconsideration, Appeals, and Writs of Mandamus with different government agencies and courts.

Adele Yan, Esq. - Attorney
Ms. Yan is licensed to practice law by the state of California and New York. Her practice focuses on United States immigration law. She has extensive experience counseling and assisting clients through the entire process of applying for immigrant as well as non-immigrant visas. Additionally, during her eight years of law practice, she has successfully represented numerous clients in affirmative asylum applications.
Ms. Yan has assisited hundreds of foreign investors in the United States businesses in obtaining permanent residency status through the EB-5 investment green-card program. The full range of services she provides to EB-5 clients, includes, not only the preparation of Forms I-526 and I-829 with complete supporting briefs, but also responding to any requests for further evidence from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and providing assistance with adjustment of status and the consular interview process.

Minjie Xu, Esq. - Attorney
Mr. Xu has comprehensive and insightful knowledge of U.S. Immigration Law, and is particularly exprienced in assisting individual investors in obtaining permanent resident status through the EB-5 program, and in assisting businesses to obtain the status of regional center, enabling them to be funded by EB-5 investment . His hundreds of individual clients have made investments through EB-5 Regional Centers as well as through direct investment in stand-alone businesses. Mr. Xu not only understands the intricacies of the EB-5 application and approval process, he also has a deep understanding of the business and personal needs of Chinese investors. In his past experience as an attorney with one of the largest immigration law firms in U.S., he was personally responsible for establishing that firm's EB-5 practice area and building its legal team. He managed the EB-5 team, providing guidance and supervision on each individual petition, and has successfully filed hundreds of EB-5 petitions for individual investors.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Xu is passionate and knowledgeable in the fields of Finance and Investment. He studied Economics at Fudan University and he has passed CPA level I Exam. His background in Finance enables him to analyze and understand the complex documents that must be included in any EB-5 application, such as the Economic Impact Report, Business Plan and other Financial Documents. He has the ability to help his clients and investors understand these documents by explaining them in a manner that is readily understandable even to non-specialists.
Mr. Xu has passed China Judicial Exam and is also licensed in New York State. He earned a Master of Laws degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign School of Law. Mr. Xu was born in Shanghai and is bilingual in Chinese and English.
